Job description

  • ensure product design and architecture meet customer requirements (quality, weight, recycling, cost, timing, manufacturability);
  • manage CAD resources and supervise 3D/2D design activities;
  • apply and maintain design standards (DS & Technical Solutions).
  • collect and validate all technical inputs from the customer (gap & flushness, interfaces, surrounding parts);
  • lead feasibility studies of parts (styling surfaces, parting lines, injection, demoulding, painting, assembly, packaging, recycling);
  • coordinate with CAD engineers and Tier 2 suppliers to deliver complete and validated 3D/2D data;
  • ensure regular update and validation of CAD files, drawings, tolerance stack-ups, and geometry files;
  • work with Tooling & Injection Engineers to optimize tool design in parallel with part design;
  • validate supplier designs and drawings, provide feedback, and ensure process feasibility;
  • manage technical information flow with CAD offices, suppliers, and customers;
  • participate in design reviews, tool trials, cubing events, and process validations;
  • report design review status, CAD timing plan, and action plan to the manager;
  • KPI ´s Criteria: CTQ (Critical to Quality) convergence, Isostatism file & tolerance stack-up folder,Style surface and geometry analysis, Action plans from design reviews,Complete and validated 3D + 2D product data;
  • strong knowledge of plastics and basic mechanical design rules;
  • proficiency in CAD systems (3D & 2D);
  • ability to define isostatism systems and build tolerance analysis;
  • experience in managing suppliers and cross-functional design teams;
  • strong communication and problem-solving skills.
