Job description

Quality Problem Solving Engineer (8D / Six Sigma) • Lead structured problem-solving for product and process quality issues (containment → root cause → corrective action → prevention of recurrence). • Perform deep-dive problem analysis to identify the cause, mechanism, and scope of quality problems (data-driven, fact-based). • Apply and facilitate methodologies/tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, PDCA, and Six Sigma where applicable. • Design and compare corrective actions and countermeasures based on effectiveness, cost, feasibility, and risk. • Drive implementation of agreed measures across functions, ensuring clear ownership, timing, and execution discipline. • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to align on actions and remove blockers. • Monitor and verify effectiveness of implemented actions (KPIs, audits, follow-up checks) and ensure measures are sustained. • Track key performance indicators (e.g., scrap, rework, PPM, complaints, FPY) and report progress/status to stakeholders. • Maintain full documentation and traceability of investigations and actions (8D reports, lessons learned, standard updates). • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external quality standards and problem-solving requirements. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to standardization and prevention-focused quality culture.
